My name is Alex. I have battled cancer, twice. I am now in remission. The difficult journey to healing has led me to support others in their battle against cancer. Today I celebrate my health by running and climbing. On September 6, 2014, I will be off to climb Mount Elbrus, Europe's highest mountain. I am doing this challenge for the children of Make-A-Wish Switzerland who, as I did, look forward to a future worth fighting for. In this spirit, I shall climb for them. Je m'appelle Alex. J'a eu le cancer deux fois et maintenant je suis en rémission. Mon combat contre la maladie m'a donné l'envie de soutenir les autres qui combattent le cancer et d'autres maladies. Le 6 septembre je pars escalader le Mont Elbrouz, la plus haute montagne d'Europe. Je le fais pour les enfants de Make-A-Wish Suisse. Car, comme moi, ils doivent croire en un future qui mérite que l'on se battent. Votre soutien sera le bienvenu et je vous en remercie. Merci. Alex.

The Challenge:

My challenge is to climb Mount Elbrus in the Caucasus range in Russia - At 5,642m, it is called the "Mountain of Happiness" in Circassian. A dormant volcano, it is one of the 7 summits (highest peaks on 7 continents). I have been training all summer to be ready for this challenge. Your support will encourage me and the foundation. I will keep you posted on the climb. Thank you.

Mon challenge est d'escalader le Mont Elbrouz dans les montagnes du Caucase en Russie. A 5,642m de hauteur, cette montagne nommée "La montagne du bonheur" en circassien, est un ancien volcan, et l'un des 7 sommets (7 sommets sur 7 continents - un challenge). Votre soutien m'encouragera ainsi que la fondation Make-A-Wish. Je vous tiendrais au courant de mon ascension. Merci.
