The Charity: The Anouk foundation aims to create a soothing environment for children and adults in hospitals and special needs institutions.(www.anouk.org/en/accueil). The Challenge: A group of us will attempt the Col de Passon ski mountaineering trek above Chamonix the 13th April. Although not an extreme itinerary, it is at altitude in the high mountains and on glacier terrain, and involves some basic rope work. (www.chamonix.net/english/skiing/ski_touring/col_de_passon.htm). The details: We will be paying the guides out of our own pocket, and any funds we raise will go straight to Anouk. We're aiming to do it this week-end (13th) but it may slip to the following week depending on weather.
