"Marathon du Médoc" a Run of 42,195 KM with

• 22 Refreshment/Tasting stops for the “œno-sportifs" among us (tasting great wines in doses appropriate to the circumstance plus
• 55 Points along the course offering a variety of entertainment and food-tasting opportunities (oysters, steak, cheese, grapes, ice cream, etc.)

The Challenge:

To complete the marathon while still making some stops along the way to enjoy a taste of fine wine and excellent food and to appreciate one or another of the many entertainments on offer. Somehow, one has to balance an immoderate run with moderate consumption, and how many stops ones makes is a personal choice. That said, many consider the steak (“entrecôte”) at the 40th km point to be a must-do!

More details: • Despite the fun aspects of this very special race, the "Medoc" is nonetheless a real Marathon, 42.195 km, measured officially.
• The fantastic organization and beauty of the course have placed it among the leading international marathons year-in and year-out, drawing an ever-increasing number of foreign participants.
• In one great loop, this Marathon winds its way through a stunningly beautiful circuit of over 50 of France’s finest chateaux.
• And the ambiance cannot be beaten!
