Mission statement
Diabetes UK is the largest organisation in the UK working for people with diabetes, funding research, campaigning and helping people live with the condition. We have over 160,000 members. We work for people with diabetes, their carers, family and friends. We represent the interests of all people with diabetes by lobbying the government for better standards of care and the best quality of life. Diabetes UK aims to invest over £6 million in research in 2010 to improve the treatment of diabetes and search for a cure.

Page information:

Over the years many Bridges have been walked, stories told, people walking united in a common cause to raise money for charity, and mutual friendship.

During the walk I always ask one of the walkers to choose a Charity, two years ago on the last walk I asked Keith Hogg who would like us to support Diabetes UK.

https://www.mygivinggroup.com/mg900036/beds-and-bars-bridge-walk-for-diabetes-uk.html

The format of the walk is as before, we will start at 10.00 North Side of the Albert Bridge and we walk all the Bridges to Tower Bridge, stopping at watering holes along the way. Young’s will be providing us lunch again at the Founders Arms as they have every year, Big hand to them for doing so.

I, therefore, invite you to join the walk and raise 1k.
To raise the 1k ask ten mates for 100 pounds or 2o for 50, it’s that easy- people pay that for me to go away!!!
Or simply send me 1k because you can’t be asked to walk!!!

It’s a great bi annual occasion, I have lost count of how much we have raised over the years, but it’s a lot, and I we like to think we have made a difference to many lives.
So please make the commitment to join the walk and help make the difference, contact Monika and feel free to invite your mates to join us to.

It’s great to have you all in my life.

Kind Regards,

Keith Knowles OBE

Date: 1st June 2018
