On the 4th of September I am going to cycle the ‘Alpenbrevet Bronzetour’ to raise money for my Act4Impact project at Anouk Foundation. The Bronzetour includes two mountain passes, being the legendary Gotthard pass (12 km, 7%) and the Nufenen pass (13 km, 8,6%). It is a 64-kilometer-long tour with an altitude difference of 2.140m.

My motivation
After various interesting jobs at different companies, I wanted to have more impact and give back to society. I started a journey with a coach to discover my purpose in addition to raising two little boys. I got inspired by the idea of starting up a charity for hospitalized children which finally led to a cooperation with the Anouk Foundation to realize one of my ideas: themed window cleaners bringing joy to young, hospitalized patients and their families.

My project
The core idea of The Act4Impact Window Washing Event is to bring joy to hospitalized children by surprising them with a themed window washing visit. The project offers hospitals and window cleaning companies the chance to improve the emotional well-being of sick children in hospitals. For many children and families, the hospital is a source of fear and distress. So, imagine Spiderman, Batman, Superwoman or any other themed character coming down, cleaning the windows on the outside while interacting with the children inside, warming their hearts and putting a smile on their face!

Project status
At this moment I am in contact with one of the big children’s hospitals in Switzerland and I am very hopeful that we will be able to start our first event in the next few months. The aim is to extend it to other children’s hospitals afterwards.
